Welcome to the Valentine & Sons Seed Company consulting page. We provide consultation services and “how to” seminars for both the museum community as well as backyard poultry owners throughout New England.

We have done seminars and demonstrations at Old Sturbridge Village, Coggeshall Farm museum, Fort at Number Four, Freetown, MA Historical Society, and various libraries in the Northeast.

Below is a short list of the services we offer: 

Heirloom Seeds & Heritage Breeds - a complete seminar covering the set up and maintenance of a “Heritage Homestead”, including gardening basics, keeping of backyard poultry, and harvesting of your crops and livestock.

Heritage Poultry - History and Care - an all inclusive 3 hour program, covering everything from the history of Heritage and Historical Poultry, the complete care and maintenance of your flock, acquiring good stock, incubation techniques, and breed management.

 NEW Heritage Poultry in a museum environment - This is a new program we are offering living history museums. One of the challenges of a living history museum is to maintain true lines despite the presence of multiple breeds. It is our goal to help museums overcome this challenge with this thought provoking open forum style seminar.  Ideal for 4-6 students.
